The third quarter of 2021 saw notable activity among the top navigation and maps applications in the United Arab Emirates. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps showed varied trends in downloads, active users, and revenue.

Google Maps Go maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 13K to 15K downloads per week. The app's weekly active users ranged from 1.1M to 1.2M, with a steady increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at approximately 1.2M in the last week of September.

Google Earth experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads. Downloads peaked at 25.5K in early July but dropped to a low of 4.6K in mid-September. Active users also varied, starting at 18.7K and reaching a peak of 64.9K in mid-July before stabilizing around 24K to 26K towards the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed consistent weekly downloads, hovering between 4.7K and 5.7K. The app's active user base remained stable throughout the quarter, fluctuating slightly around the 330K mark, with a peak of 354K in early July.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 4.7K in late June and reaching approximately 6.4K by the end of September. The number of active users also showed a positive trend, increasing from 36K to 40.5K over the quarter.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation had a relatively stable download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 3K to 4K. The app's active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 9.2K and peaking at 10.3K in late July, before settling around 9.7K by the end of the quarter. Revenue for this app remained modest, averaging around $8 to $13 per week.
